JAKARTA - Dedi Ansori (39), an Indonesian citizen (WNI) who lives in Sudan admitted that he was almost hit by a stray bullet during the war.
"Usually at 4 to 5 o'clock the war stops, before breaking the fast. But sometimes the bullets can get lost, even I was almost hit above (my head)," said Dedi when met at the Hajj Dormitory, Pondok Gede, East Jakarta, Friday, April 28.
Meski dedi mengaku bersyukur tidak ada warga Indonesia yang mengalami luka. Ia mengungkapkan jika rata-rata yang tewas itu adalah warga Sudan sendiri.
"The average stray bullet (victim) is Sudanese. Even though the Sudanese are at war, they watch it. There are a lot, there are approximately up to hundreds, if Indonesians mostly live at home, so no one is shot," he said.
Sudan was rocked by civil war between the (SAF) military led by General Abdel Fattah Al Burhan and the Rapid Movement Supporting Forces (RSF) militia group led by General Hamdan Dagalo since April 15, 2023.
They have been competing for power in Sudan for years. Because of that, Dedi admitted that it was difficult to get food when war broke out.
"Condition of consumption is a bit difficult. Usually this three times you eat less, then you continue to eat indomie," he said.
