BENGKULU - Bengkulu Regional Police (Polda) detained a police officer with the initials IH who was previously caught by residents while he was circulating counterfeit money in Pondok Kelapa District, Bengkulu Regency.

He explained that based on the person's statement, the total money found in the wallet was not as previously reported, which was around Rp420 thousand.
"However, currently the police officer is still undergoing intensive examination by Propam at the Bengkulu Police Headquarters," he said.
Previously, a police officer in Bengkulu was arrested by a resident of Central Bengkulu for allegedly trafficking counterfeit money with the mode of buying cigarettes in a shop.
One of the shop owners, Ronaldi, a resident of Padang Betuah Village, Pondok Kelapa District, Central Bengkulu Regency, admitted that he was fooled by the Rp100 thousand denomination given by the police officer.
