West Java Police Activate E-Zebra Application To Monitor Homecoming 2023, Can Gercep Know Traffic In The Field

JABAR - The Directorate of Traffic (Ditlantas) of the West Java (Jabar) Regional Police used the application to directly monitor the condition of the homecoming flow at the moment of Eid al-Fitr 2023.

Deputy Director of Traffic of the West Java Police AKBP Edwin Affandi said the application, named E-Zebra Lodaya Presisi, was placed in the RTMC Room of the West Java Police.

Later, members of the police in the field, he said, could be contacted directly to convey their monitoring of traffic at the location on duty.

"This application continues to be perfected, later members contacted by this application can directly report it," said Edwin in Bandung, West Java, Wednesday, April 12, as reported by Antara.

The application displays a map of the West Java region. On the map, there are markers or points that indicate the presence of police officers.

So if the map shows a traffic density, then officers from the West Java Regional Police will contact police officers near the current density.

Although the system uses E-Zebra, the application to communicate with members in the field still uses the WhatsApp video call system.

"For example, the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road will be applied one way later, but this member is now not only regulating traffic, but also for live reports related to the situation there," he said.

Even so, according to him, the live report system using the application adjusts to the condition of the officers' work in the field. Because, he said, not every time police officers in the field can be contacted by officers from the West Java Police RTMC room.

"Because it is directly personal, yes, he is breaking down traffic, helping people with accidents, or helping to regulate congestion," he said.
