No Longer Wants To Miss Lifting BUMD Boss Legal Files, DKI Provincial Government Involves Private Profile Team

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government does not seem to want to be missed in appointing candidates for directors and commissioners of regional-owned enterprises (BUMD) such as the Kuncoro Wibowo case. Two months appointed as President Director of PT Transjakarta, it was only revealed that Kuncoro was a suspect in alleged corruption in the distribution of social assistance (bansos). Head of the BUMD Center for Strategic Policy and Services for the DKI Jakarta BUMD Development Agency, Wahyudi, said that his party would cooperate with the private sector in profiling candidates for BUMD management who would be appointed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. "In the future, we will cooperate with independent institutions to conduct additional profiling of prospective company management," Wahyudi told reporters, Tuesday, April 4. This external profiling team will later help check the background of prospective BUMD administrators with more complete data, starting from the existence or absence of legal cases that dragged the board candidate, performance in the previous career, to communication relations with company colleagues. Wahyudi said that the use of third parties as a profiling team was new in the process of assessing candidates for high-ranking government-owned companies. However, the team has often been included in the profiling of candidate leaders in private companies. "So far, we have not used an independent institution. Due to limited resources, we are only profiling in the media. In the future, we will add more information to the private sector," explained Wahyudi. "As we know, there is a story (ex-Director of Transjakarta Kuncoro Wibowo) that has been appointed, then becomes a KPK suspect, of all kinds. That's what we finally want to strengthen these things so that we know more about their profiles," he continued. Regarding the Kuncoro case, he was appointed as Director of Transjakarta by the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono through the decision of shareholders outside the GMS which was signed as of January 11, 2023. Kuncoro resigned from the position of Director of Transjakarat as of March 13. After resigning from his position, it was revealed that Kuncoro had been prevented from leaving the country since February.

Kemudian, terungkap Kuncoro kini jadi tersangka kasus korupsi bantuan sosial (bansos) beras untuk Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) di Kementerian Sosial (Kemensos). Peristiwa pidana ini diduga terjadi sekitar tahun 2020-2021 ketika Kuncoro menjabat sebagai Direktur Utama PT Bhanda Ghara Reksa (BGR).
