Announcement Of The First Edition Of The Kaset Awards Winners Held October 18

JAKARTA - After curating for one year, the Music Journalists Network (JJM) managed to choose a nomination for the first edition of the winners of the Kaset Awards selected from all music releases. Five names were selected from each nomination screened from thousands of works released over one year.

The curation/jury runs quite strictly because every citizen who is a member of JJM has the opportunity to advance their flagship with their respective reasons and opinions. Of the several names submitted, it was finally decided through a vote to choose the top five names for each nomination.

The final judging and curation process was then carried out in a hybrid (offline and online) manner because JJM network reporters were spread across a number of areas in Indonesia. In the 2023 Kaset Awards there are several names - including Isyana Sarasvati, Yura Yunita, Burgerkil, Diskoria, and Jordan Susanto - who dominate.

For the Artwork and Music Video categories, ideas and creativity are also added in the form of visuals or images that support the release of the music.

One thing that distinguishes the Kaset Awards from other music awards is the existence of two categories of the best music events (concers and festivals). The music event in question is not only seen from the number of viewers, but also affects the music industry's growth ecosystem.

For Best Music Festival and Best Concert, judging from venue locations, access and ticketing of visitors, security, packaging or musicfest concepts, access/closeness or media crew coverage spots, venue layouts, sound system quality and also artist/band line-ups that appear.

In this award, JJM also gave more value to artists, musicians, and singers who released full albums both physically and digitally in the midst of the current production situation that released single songs.

The announcement of the award winners for the music industry players in the country will be held at the Asthana Pasren, South Jakarta on 18 October. This event will be attended by a number of musicians, including Tasha Bouslama, Aria Element, Fei Luthfy, Fia WAMI, Zidni Hakim and Sigit Base Jam.
