G-Pluck Gets Street Artists Closes Tour Series At Beatleweek Liverpool

JAKARTA - The Beatles tribute music group, G-Pluck, closed a series of British tours at the Liverpool International Beatleweek Festival 2023 by cooperating with a Liverpool City street artist on stage Cavern Pub, Tuesday (29/8) evening local time.

G-Pluck consisting of Garnida Clouds (bass), Gilang Pramudya (guitar/vocals), Fery Gustian (guitar/vocals), Beni Pratama (drums), and Aufa Kantadiredja (keyboards/vocals) went up to the stage at 10 pm wearing a white shirt suit complete with a black vest.

Appearing for 45 minutes, Awan Garnida et al. performed hit numbers popularized by The Beatles including "Twist and Shout", "From Me To You", "Love Me Do", "I Feel Fine", "Help", and "In My Life".

"Over the week we've been here, we've had so many fun new friends. One of them is Paul who I believe you all here know him. He's a legend," said bass player Awan Garnida then inviting a spectator named Paul to join on stage, quoted by Antara.

For Beatles fans who have visited the Cavern area in Mathew Street 10, or by Albert Dock's side, Paul's figure is no stranger. The thick beard man who is synonymous with the head covering of the beacon model is indeed known to the public as a street artist who specializes in the singer of The Beatles songs.

Paul then became friends with G-Pluck personnel when Awan Garnida et al. saw the appearance of the street artist when he acted in the cultural heritage area of Albert Dock one afternoon. At that time, Paul promised to come to see the performance of the band from Jakarta on one of the Liverpool International Beatleweek 2023 stage.

When Paul appeared to witness G-Pluck's performance at Cavern Pub, the frontman of the band Awan Garnida without hesitation invited him up on stage to sing to enliven the atmosphere.

"They (G-Pluck) are very charming. Their game is really accurate. The guitar melodies are very good with the right sound harmonization in every song. It's great to have them here. I'm sure everyone likes this band and hopes they will return next year," Paul said before playing the song "Pnny Lane" which continued with "Here Comes The Sun".

G-Pluck has completed all their performances at the Liverpool International Beatleweek Festival 2023 which took place on August 23. After playing on 10 stages of the largest Beatles fan festival in the universe, G-Pluck will continue their series of tours that have received full support from the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology to several locations in the Netherlands and Germany.

In the Netherlands, G-Pluck will appear at Tong Tong Fair The Hague. After that, they will continue their journey to Germany to play at Alte Feuerwache Koyln and Indra Club Hamburg.
