May Gig Be Held Again With A New Atmosphere And Place

JAKARTA - May Gig be held again after experiencing a hiatus for some time. In this event, in addition to featuring musicians across genres with his latest work, discussions and questions are also interspersed with topics about music. This event is also a common ground between musicians, labels, media and players in the music industry.

The new edition May Gig take place on Monday, July 7 evening by taking place in Bostha Jakarta, South Cipete, South Jakarta. As in previous editions, this time, Gig may present three musicians who bring their works. The three names that appeared last night were Human Aksara, Alesssa, and After Nourway.

Around 8 pm, the event opened with a short talk show that this time discussed one of the warm things in the digital music industry. This time, Angga 'Photo' from Stoodio.id, explained about the development of digital music in areas outside Java.

The event then continued with After Nourway's appearance. The duo consisting of Arrafie Asyqar (Rafi) on piano and synth, andMINAo Qristandi (Vino) vocals were able to hypnotized the audience with their works such as I Can't Save Us, Never Mine and of course the song that raised their name, No Good in Goodbye.

A cover number from Tulus was also performed by After Nourway. After that, After Nourway, which is now under the label Warner Music Indonesia, closed its appearance with the song Loss Rasa which also surprisingly featured Ashira Zamita

After Nourway, it was the turn of the band from Majalengka, Alessa, who appeared on the stage, May Gig. Unlike their usually full band appearances, this time the trio consisting of Elton (guitar), Putri Sashii (vocals), and Andri (drums) carries a minimalist concept.

Alessa opened her appearance with the song D'Masiv, Cinta Ini Kills me, followed by the Star of Life from Nike Ardilla. Alessa also performed their own song which was released some time ago, Say it before ending her appearance by singing the song "Go Kasih from Chrisye and Always Salah belongs to Geisha."

The Aksara man is the closing of the May Gig event this time. The music group driven by Hafizh Weda and Romano Jaya appeared with the acoustic concept of bringing their works from the album Welcome in the Era of Surprise.

Even with an acoustic feel, the Aksara Man still appears full of energy. In the song Universe, the Weda vocalist, performed the song emotionally and also invited the entire audience to sing together. Not to forget, they brought the Alternative Route which has now been released in three versions.

The Aksara man closed his appearance with the song Terbit in the South which is the end of the sixth edition of the May Gig event.
