After The Sixth Generation Of Indonesia's Honda CR-V Coming Soon To Malaysia

JAKARTA - After success in Indonesia, the sixth generation Honda CR-V will step into Malaysia as the next destination. Recently, this large-body SUV was seen caught on camera undergoing trials with camouflage stickers.

The appearance of the All-New Honda CR-V is getting closer to reality when in March, Honda Malaysia announced it would release a new model in the country, and CR-V will be one of the models launched.

The latest Honda CR-V is seen in highway testing with a display still kept secret by camouflage stickers, reported by Paultan, Friday, August 25. Although it has not been officially announced, it is estimated that the All-New Honda CR-V version for the Malaysian market will not differ much from the ones marketed in Thailand and Indonesia, including the possible availability of hybrid versions.

In Indonesia, the All-New Honda CR-V comes with two engine options, namely a 1.5 liter gasoline engine and a 2.0 liter gasoline engine equipped with a Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) system.

The initial variant of Honda CR-V 2024 is equipped with a 1.5 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, generating up to 187 dk of power and 243 Nm of torque. This variant is available in two-wheeled (2WD) and four-wheeled driving systems (AWD).

As for the hybrid variant, the Honda CR-V e: HEV RS carries a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder Atkinson Cycle DOHC engine that collaborates with two electric motors, produces up to 204 dk of power and 335 Nm of torque and is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 1.06 kWh.

In the Indonesian market, All-New Honda CR-V comes in five and seven seating configurations. A seven-seater variant is available on non-hybrid variants, while a hybrid variant provides five seats.

Honda Sensing technology is also applied to meet customer needs, including the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) system, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow (ACC with LSF), Road Departure Mitigation System with Lane Departure Warning (RDM with LDW), Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), and Auto High Beam (AHB).

The price of the All-New Honda CR-V type 1.5 L turbo is priced starting from IDR 739.9 million (OTR Jakarta), while the type 2.0 L or All New CR-V Hybrid is sold at a price of IDR 799.9 million (OTR Jakarta).

All-New Honda CR-V also achieved five-star safety values in the recent ASEAN NCAP (New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia) safety test.
