JAKARTA - The Blumhouse production house presents a new horror film after the success of M3GAN in 2022. Five Night at Freddy's film is an adaptation of a phenomenal and popular video game.

Directed by Emma Tammi, this film was announced in 2015 by Warner Bros. Pictures, then two years later, this adaptation was taken over by Blumhouse Production. They also had a change of director.

Five Nights at Freddy's tells the story of Mike (Josh Hutcherson), a teenager who has trouble sleeping every night. He is assisted by drugs and natural voice recordings so that he can sleep well.

Mike has a younger brother named cap (Piper Rubio) who is suspected of having hallucinations because he often plays with friends who Mike cannot see.

Mike also struggled to find a job after he was fired from his previous job. However, he had to struggle to find a new job to keep him under custody from unwanted parties. Then, Mike finds a job as a night guard at an abandoned restaurant: Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria.

Mike's job is also simple: to maintain the monitor and make sure no one comes in. However, Mike just realized something was going on in Freddy's.

Not alone, Mike meets Vanessa (Elizabeth Lail), a local police officer who is always on guard at night. The two of them work together to solve the mystery that exists in Freddy's.

The film also stars Mary Stuart Masterson, Kat Conner Sterling, and Matthew Lillard. The script was written by Scott Cawthon, Emma Tammi and Seth Cuddeback.

Five Nights at Freddy's chose the release at the end of October which was marked by Halloween celebrations in the United States.

Meanwhile, the Five Nights at Freddy film will air starting today, Wednesday, October 25, 2023 in Indonesian cinemas.
