Bryan Domani And Mawar De Jongh Express Difficulties When Playing High School Children

JAKARTA - Bryan Domani and Mawar de Jongh competed acting in the latest youth drama film entitled Galaxies. For the umpteenth time, Bryan and Mawar returned to play high school students.

For Bryan Domani, who during high school never felt like he was in a public school, his acting experience as a student was recognized as a challenge in itself.

"I'm homeschooling high school, but you could say I'm in high school longer than usual people," said Bryan Domani when met at Epicentrum, South Jakarta on Monday, August 21.

Bryan has often played high school students. He saw every role played to give him a new knowledge of the lives of high school students. He finds many unique stories.

"Every soap opera or film is always in high school again, and always different. So, my perspective on SMa seems to be much wider, because each story has different high schools," said Bryan Domani.

"So, yes, I've never felt like I was a high school student, but I felt the situation was a high school student while filming," he continued.

Meanwhile, Mawar de Jongh, who will turn 22 years old on September 26, sees the role of high school students she plays in the film Galaxies is quite difficult. He felt there was a distance between his perspective and Kejora, the character played in the film.

"Imaging high school students again must have difficulties too, because facing problems like Kejora compared to Mawar's perspective now may be very different," said Mawar de Jongh.

"So how do you see what happened to Kejora with Kejora's own glasses? It's quite difficult. And many scenes like birthdays, doing friends, like remembering when I was in school," he added.

Apart from Bryan Domani and Mawar de Jongh, the Galactic film also stars Abraham, Prince Lantang, Fadly Faisal, Omara Esteghlal, Zoul Pandjoul, and a number of other young actors. Galaxies will hit Indonesian cinemas on August 24.
