Despite Financial Difficulties, His Wife Remains Loyal To Waiting For Zul Zivilia To Be Free From Prison

JAKARTA - The vocalist of Zivilia's band Zulkifli or better known as Zul Zivilia has been in prison since 2019. He was sentenced to 18 years in prison for a narcotics case.

However, Retno, his wife is still loyal to this day. Retno is known to still regularly visit Zul who is currently languishing in Gunung Sindur Prison.

Retno admitted that she was still experiencing economic difficulties because her husband, who had previously made a living, was no longer reliable. However, she is still grateful to still be able to raise her child.

"(Rejeki) is said to be smooth or not, it's not smooth either. Yes, sometimes if you have a lot of work, you can pay for your children, school your children. But if you don't have it at all, you'll be worried too," said Retno in Tendean, South Jakarta last week.

Retno felt grateful when she did not have enough money, her extended family, including Zul's parents, were still willing to help.

"Sometimes if for example there is no way to make money, I ask for help from my parents-in-law or my brothers and sisters," he said.

Retno also has her own reasons why she is still loyal to her husband until now. She considered Zul's kindness to make him survive. She still wants to accompany her husband until he is released from prison.

"(The ones that keep me) are the children, and even though it's like that, it's better if there are many. So the reason for leaving him is not there. Well, I'll wait for him to finish (the time of detention)," said Zul Zivilia's wife.

Retno also hopes that her husband can maintain his health in prison. She wants the opportunity to return with Zul after being released.

"Take care of your health, exercise diligently, because now the important thing is our life. Hopefully, you will give me a long life with Allah, so that we can meet again," concluded Retno, Zul Zivilia's wife.
