Not Only In Indonesia, Poppy Capella Is Also No Longer Trusted To Hold Miss Universe Malaysia

Poppy Capella as the founder of PT Capella Swastika Karya apparently not only holds a license and becomes a National Director for Miss Universe Indonesia, but also for Miss Universe Malaysia.

Through her Instagram account, Miss Universe Malaysia once stated that only the National Director and his team took care of all the ins and outs of the event.

Miss Universe Malaysia is not associated with any party or personal. Only a team from Miss Universe Malaysia takes care of all needs related to Miss Universe Malaysia," wrote Miss Universe Malaysia's Instagram account in its upload, seen Monday, August 14.

However, the impact of alleged sexual harassment that occurred during the body checking process against Miss Universe Indonesia finalists made Poppy Capella and her company no longer trusted by the Miss Universe Organization.

"Miss Universe Organization has decided to end relations with the current franchise in Indonesia, PT Capella Swastika Karya, and its National Director, Poppy Capella," wrote Miss Universe's statement via her Instagram account.

Poppy Capella and her company certainly cannot hold Miss Universe Malaysia. Even the beauty pageant event in neighboring countries should be canceled this year.

PT Capella Swastika Karya and its principals will not move forward with Miss Universe Malaysia 2023, and will not be granted additional contracts within our organization," read Miss Universe's statement.

"We will cancel Miss Universe Malaysia 2023," he continued.

Meanwhile, Poppy Capella as National Director and PT Capella Swastika Karya as license holders is considered by the Miss Universe Organization unable to fight for the values fought for so far.

Giving a safe place to women is a top priority for the Miss Universe Organization, and events in this particular contest are against everything we stand for as an organization, said the Miss Universe Organization statement.
