JAKARTA - Robert De Niro released a statement after his grandson, Leandro De Niro Rodriquez, died. This sad news was announced by De Niro's son, Drena on Sunday, July 2 without explaining the reason for his departure.

"I feel pressured by Leo's grandson's departure," Robert De Niro told Fox News on Monday, July 3.

"We appreciate everyone's condolences. We ask for privacy time to mourn Leo's passing," continued the 79-year-old actor.

Drena via her Instagram announced this news via Instagram. He wrote a message for the child who gave happiness throughout his life.

I hope I can be with you now. I hope I can. I don't know how to live without you but I will try to spread the love and light that you made in my life, "wrote Drena.

"You are very loved and appreciated and I hope you can love me. I'm sorry dear, take a break in peace my dear," he wrote again.

Leandro De Niro Rodriquez is an actor who gets credit for his appearance in the films A Star is Born and Cabaret Maxime. Condolences were also expressed by a number of celebrities on social media.

"Drena, I'm sorry. Send a lot of love to you. May God be with you and all those who love you," wrote Lana Parrilla.

"Drena, I'm sorry. I can't imagine my death. May God take care of you in mourning time. I love you, always here for you," said Naomi Campbell.

Drena is one of seven children Robert De Niro. Drena and Raphael are the children of his marriage to his first wife, Diahnne Abbott.
