Public Prosecutor Calls Rinhana-Rihani's Information About The Convoluted Reseller IPhone Fraud

TANGERANG - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) demanded a 5-year prison sentence and a fine of Rp. 1 billion against the defendants, the twins, Riana and Rihani, in the case of buying and selling iPhones worth Rp. 8.5 billion.

According to the prosecutor, the aggravating thing for the defendants Rinahan and Rihani was because they were disturbing the community, and also resulted in losses to the victims.

In addition, the defendant also gave an answer that was convoluted in the trial. So that is also the consideration of the prosecutor in prosecuting the two defendants.

"The thing that burdens the defendant is that the defendant is disturbing the community, the defendant is convoluted in the trial. And the defendant's actions caused losses to the victim's witness," said Public Prosecutor Mega Sari during a trial at the Tangerang District Court, Tuesday, November 21.

Rinahan and Riana were proven to have committed a criminal act intentionally and spread false news that was misleading, resulting in losses for consumers in the electronic transaction.

"The defendant was sentenced to 5 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 1 billion," he said.
