Gerindra Central Java: We Want To Win With Fair, Not Attack Through Hoaxes

SEMARANG - The Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the Gerindra Party of Central Java continues to maintain good communication with other political parties in the context of the 2024 election contestation.

"Good communication is not only with political parties in the opposing camps such as PDI Perjuangan, PKB, and PKS, but also with other political parties who do not yet have seats in the Central Java Provincial DPRD," said Central Java Gerindra Party DPD chairman Sudaryono.

Sudaryono said the contestation of the presidential/vice-presidential elections (pilpres), legislative elections (pileg), and regional head elections (pilkada) sometimes requires political parties to have different choices. However, these different choices should not make conditions in the community hot and hostile to each other.

"We were ordered by Pak Prabowo not to attack, vilify, slander, and hoaxes, both against candidates and other political parties. Every political party must want to win. However, we want it in a good and fair way," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 21.

According to him, there are at least three reasons to be optimistic about winning the presidential election and leading Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka to be elected President and Vice President.

First, he continued, currently the Gerindra Party is getting more solid and compact and the party engine is much better than the previous election; second, the coalition that Gerindra is holding, the Advanced Indonesia Coalition, contains nine political parties.

"This means that there are nine party machines, the number of candidates is nine times and the jurkam times nine, so there has been an agreement that this coalition is brought to the TPS level. The Jurkam for the Prabowo-Gibran pair is more advanced Indonesian Coalition than other coalitions," he said.

The previous survey, he continued, was that Gibran's figure was also a magnet for Indonesians who were personally famous, popular, and liked.

"This is additional ammunition," he said.

Sudaryono also reminded that the victory of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair should not only win, but victory must be achieved in a good and fair way.

In the context of the presidential election, he continued, political parties in Indonesia and Central Java were divided into three camps, namely the supporters and supporters of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair, the Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md. and the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar pair.

Deputy Chairperson of the Central Java Gerindra Party DPD, Yudi Indras Wiendarto, said Central Java has sexy voters to fight for all political parties, especially since most of them are novice voters, generation Z and millennial generation.

According to him, there are large number of young voters, political parties must be able to take advantage of this moment to provide good and correct political education.

"Don't provoke, badmouth, but on the contrary, you must properly educate voters who may have the first right to vote in this election," he said.

On the other hand, Yudi Indras also hopes that the mass media must have the same role, namely educating readers correctly.

"Don't make bombastic content that will damage future generations," he said.
