Chronology Of 2 Indonesian Air Force Planes Crashed In Pasuruan

JAKARTA - Two EMB-314 Super Tucano tactical fighter aircraft belonging to the Indonesian Air Force had an accident in Bromo National Park, Tengger, Semeru (TNBTS), precisely in Kedawung Village, Puspo District, Pasuruan Regency, East Java on Thursday 16 November afternoon. This incident occurred at 11.31 WIB. Meanwhile, the chronology of events began when four Indonesian Air Force (Chevron) aircraft carried out a Formation Flight Professional exercise. The plane departed from the station at 10.15 WIB. The plane started turning on the engine at 10.39 WIB, then took off to the Abdulrachman Saleh Airport at 10.50 WIB. At 11.18 the two planes (Chevron 1 and 2) were declared lost contact. At 11.31 WIB, two other planes, Chevron 3 and 4 returned to land at Abdulrachman Saleh Airfield. Marshal TNI Fadjar Prasetyo, Air Force Chief of Staff (KSAU), contacted in Jakarta, on Thursday, confirmed the truth of the incident. According to him, two Indonesian Air Force fighter aircraft were involved in the crash in Pasuruan. "Yes, it was true (in Pasuruan), and involved two fighter aircraft," said Marshal Fadjar, quoted from ANTARA. The Indonesian Air Force is conducting a thorough investigation regarding the incident, including potential casualties among soldiers, accident causes, and incident chronology. It is known that the two TNI AU aircraft that the accident had registration numbers TT-3111 and TT-3103.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Air Force Information Service (Kadispenau), First Marshal R Agung Sasongkojati, said that it was suspected that two Super Tucano fighter aircraft had crashed in Pasuruan, East Java, due to bad weather. "The weather was too low for the plane to fly with a mountain slope. The condition of the plane was completely damaged and burned," Agung added.
