Al An Expert Hospital Of Baptists Becomes The Last Hospital Operating In Gaza
JAKARTA - Al Expert Baptist Hospital is the only hospital still operating in Gaza City despite a shortage of medical equipment and supplies.
The director of operations and emergencies at Al Expert Baptist Hospital, Ahmad Al-Louh, said the hospital provided first aid treatment to injured people, but they had to wait in long queues for surgery or other medical treatment.
In the current situation, hospitals and medical staff there are unable to provide proper health services.
"The hospital library has been converted into a patient admission room and wound sanitary services," said Al-Louh as quoted by ANTARA from Anadolu, Thursday, November 16.
"Every day and every time we are all in danger," continued Al-Louh.
On October 17, 471 people were killed and many injured in Israeli airstrikes at Al Expert Baptist Hospital, health officials in Gaza said. However, Israel denies responsibility for the attack.
Gaza's largest hospital, Al Shifa Hospital, was also attacked by Israeli soldiers on Wednesday, November 15. The hospital was unable to operate because it was surrounded by Israelis and due to power outages.
