Attorney General's Office Receives 669 Complaints Regarding Land Mafia

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) received 669 reports of complaints from land mafia cases during the period 2022 to November 10, 2023. Head of the AGO's Legal Information Center, Ketut Sumedana, said that of the total number of reports, 361 of them had received responses from 30 of the High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati).

"Meanwhile, 308 other complaint reports are still in the process of handling and waiting for supporting data," said Ketut in a press statement in Jakarta on Monday (13/11/2023) quoted from ANTARA.

Ketut then mentioned that 25 reports had been transferred to the General Crime Sector, 30 reports to the Special Crimes Sector, and 12 reports to the Police.

In addition, 25 reports were terminated because they could not be confirmed, 23 reports were terminated due to no proven state losses, and 52 reports were terminated because they did not include land mafia cases.

Two reports are still in the mediation stage, two reports have gone through the mediation process, and 190 reports are still in the process of collecting data or information, continued Ketut.

The complaint report related to the land mafia by the Prosecutor's Office is a follow-up to the Attorney General's Order of the Republic of Indonesia Number: PRINT-8/A/JA/01/2022 dated January 17, 2022, concerning the Land Mafia Eradication Team.
