KPK Finds Money During OTT Acting Regent Sorong
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) found money in a hand arrest operation (OTT) in Sorong Regency, Southwest Papua on Sunday, November 12 night. The amount has not been detailed but in the form of rupiah currency.
"In addition to arresting several state administrators, the KPK team also secured money in rupiah," said Head of the News Section Ali Fikri to reporters in a written statement, Monday, November 13.
Ali ensured that the silent operation team was still investigating the money. Those caught were asked to explain.
"The amount of evidence of money is still being confirmed again to the examineees. The progress will be conveyed," he said.

As previously reported, the silent operation in Sorong Regency ensnared five people. Three of them are officials including Acting Regent Sorong Yan Piet Mosso and two examiners from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) representing Southwest Papua Province.
The KPK revealed that it was suspected that there was a gift related to the BPK audit for Fiscal Year 2023. However, it has not been specified when the five people will be taken to the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.
