Present At The Local Revolution, Minister Teten Pamer Outfit Made Locally: I Think It's Cool
JAKARTA - Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs (Menkop UKM) Teten Masduki attended the Local Revolution Event at Spark Mall, Jakarta, Friday, November 10.
The Local Revolution is a movement aimed at increasing public awareness and love of local products.
In the event, Teten exhibited a style of dress or outfit that used local products as a whole.
He said, the quality of local or domestically made products is no less good than made abroad.
"I'm wearing Fortune shoes from Bandung. Sold in Japan for IDR 4.5 million. There are brands from Italy whose product processing services are carried out (maklon) from this company," he said.
For her own pants, Teten uses local products from Oxygen.
According to him, the quality is also not much different from Levi's output product.
As for his shirt, Teten said he used products from Brodo.
"The shirt I'm wearing is Brodo. I think it's cool too, right, I don't look like the poorest minister, right. Cool, isn't it," said Teten.
He added, it is very important to build public awareness to use local products. If this is not done, the impact could affect the domestic industry.
This is because increasing consumption of local products will help the sustainability of MSMEs in the country.
"So, in my opinion, it is important, yes, to continue to build your own awareness to begin to believe that local products are also of high quality. We can also produce our own needs and already exist. Why do we have to buy products from globally. So, this awareness is important because the supply (supply) is already possible. That means, we can already," he said.
