3 Cross-Provincial Dealers Arrested In Bengkulu, The Mode Is To Bring Methamphetamine To Disguise As TNI
JAKARTA - The Bengkulu Regional Police arrested three suspected drug dealers of cross-provincial methamphetamine. They used the mode of disguise as fake TNI members when they brought methamphetamine to Bengkulu.
"The arrests were made on November 6, 2023 and the three suspects were F (43) a resident of Air Napal Subdistrict, North Bengkulu Regency, SA (36) and U (53) a resident of Pekanbaru, Riau Province, who is a recidivist of a similar case", said Deputy Director of Narcotics at the Bengkulu Police AKBP Tonny Kurniawan when delivering a release at the Bengkulu Police Headquarters, Friday, November 10, confiscated by Antara.
Tonny explained that the three suspects were arrested while transacting drugs at suspect F's house on Jalan Desa Bembah, Air Napal District, North Bengkulu Regency.
From the arrest, his party confiscated evidence in the form of two ounces of methamphetamine-type narcotics worth IDR 150 million, two large packages of methamphetamine, three small packages of methamphetamine, one digital scale, three units of Android mobile phones and one unit of Daihatsu Sigra Merk car.
"From the results of the investigation of the perpetrators, the evidence of methamphetamine was brought by the perpetrators from Bukit Tinggi City, West Sumatra Province as much as two ounces. Which will be sold to the North Bengkulu Regency and Bengkulu City", he said.
Based on the interrogation, the suspects used the mode of pretending to be like the authorities when they brought methamphetamine to Bengkulu. Suspect U disguised himself as a fake TNI member wearing a typical police shirt to trick police officers.
"So the US suspect is trying to trick the officers by claiming to be a member of the TNI, so that on the way to carrying the illicit goods he feels safe", explained Head of Sub-Directorate I of the Narcotics Directorate, Bengkulu Regional Police, AKBP Joan Verdianto.
