SAR Team Finds Body Of Restaurant Employee Drowning In River
SUKABUMI - The joint SAR team managed to find the body of M Iqbal (16) who is an employee of the Bambu Kuning Restaurant which sank on Wednesday, (8/11) at around 16.00 WIB in the Cicatih River, Sukabumi Regency, West Java.
"This young man's body was found about three kilometers from the location where the victim drowned in Pamuruyan Village, Cibadak District on Thursday," said Coordinator of the Sukabumi SAR Post, Suryo Adianto, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, November 9.
In this SAR operation, his party divided the three search areas, where the first team made an effort to search using a rafting boat along the Cicatih River up to a radius of 5 km from the scene.
Then, the second team conducted a search by visually combing the land route along the banks of the Cicatih River up to a radius of 3 km from the scene. And the third team conducted a search using the Aqua Eye tool which functions as the main detector for victims to sink into the river.
With this tool, the joint SAR team suspected that the victim's body was 3 meters below the surface of the river, where the personnel tried to dive and it was true that Iqbal's body was at the bottom of the river.
"We immediately evacuated the victim's body and took him to Cibadak Hospital, Sukabumi Regency for a post-mortem and handed it over to his family for burial," he added.

Previously, M Iqbal and several of his colleagues who were employees of the Bambu Kuning Restaurant during a break on Wednesday, (8/11) at around 16.00 WIB chose to swim.
It is suspected that the current was heavy, the victim was carried away and drowned. The victim's colleague who saw this incident immediately asked the residents for help and not long after the joint SAR team searched.
