Sucor AM And BSI Increase Sharia Mutual Fund Investment Products

JAKARTA PT Sucorinvest Asset Management (Sucor AM) has collaborated with PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) to increase mutual sharia funds in Indonesia. In September 2023, there were 282 mutual sharia funds with a total net asset value (NAB) of IDR 43.110 trillion.

As of October 2023, PT Sucorinvest Asset Management (Sucor AM) recorded that 6 products of Shara Dana Syariah mutual funds were sold in general, namely the Sucorinvest Sharia Money Market Fund, Sucorinvest Sharia Sukak Fund, Sucorinvest Sharia Balanced Fund, Sucorinvest Sharia Sustainable Equity Fund, Sucorinvest Sharia Equity Fund and Sucorinvest Global Equity Sharia USD which will be launched soon.

On the other hand, based on data as of October 31, 2023, the total AUM for Sharia Mutual Fund products in the Sucor AM Product Portfolio reached 25.27 percent of the total managed funds.

PT Sucorinvest Asset Management CEO Jemmy Paul Wawointana said the figure was considered quite significant in the percentage of single investor identification (SID) or the number of customers who bought sharia products reached 67.4 percent of all Sucor AM customers.

To encourage an increase in Islamic financial inclusion, Sucor AM is collaborating with PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) as his newest APERD partner.

"I am optimistic that more and more Indonesians will get to know and try to invest in mutual funds, in accordance with their risk profiles and financial goals. Hopefully this collaboration will always be a mandate," said Jemmy in his statement Wednesday, November 8.

Currently, there are two mutual fund products of Sucor AM available at BSI, namely the Sucorinvest Sharia Money Market Fund and the Sucorinvest Sharia Sukuk Fund.

Jemmy said that there are several advantages of mutual sharia funds in BSI, which are managed by professional investment management, high liquidity because they can be disbursed at any time, transparency in investment development, and guaranteed according to sharia by DSN MUI.

Responding to this collaboration, Asri Natanegarah as Senior Vice President Wealth Management of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk, stated that the selection of leak assets as investment manager partners is expected to complement the needs of BSI customers who want to invest in sharia, especially in mutual fund instruments.

Meanwhile, with the addition of two sharia mutual fund products from Sucorinvest, BSI now has a more complete portfolio of investment products for each asset class according to the risk profile and customer needs.

Asri said this is part of BSI's commitment to continue to increase Islamic financial inclusion in Indonesia. "Our hope is that all customers can feel the blessings of Islamic investment," said Asri.
