Anies Baswedan Wants To Change The Development Paradigm For Equity
MAKASSAR - The presidential candidate (candidate) from the Change Coalition for Unity, Anies Baswedan conveyed his vision and mission if he was elected in the 2024 presidential election with Muhaimin Iskandar.
The former governor of DKI Jakarta conveyed the urgency to change the development paradigm from focusing only on growth towards equity, as well as from sector orientation to a combination of sectors and territories.
"So paying attention to each region has different priorities. We will take this seriously, and if you look at the vision and mission, it is divided into a vision and mission based on the field and then based on the region," he said while giving material at the National Working Gathering (Silaknas) of the Indonesian Muslim Cendekiawan Association (ICMI) which was held at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel, Jalan Andi Djemma, Rappocini District, Makassar City, South Sulawesi, Sunday 5 November.
Anies added that for Papua, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara, the priority is different. Development will be carried out according to the needs in the field.
The former Chancellor of Paramadina University admitted that he always conveyed about justice at every opportunity.
Because according to him, justice is a basic principle so that Indonesian unity can really be maintained. Maintaining unity is also by providing equality and opportunities to all parties who are considered competent.
"Our economy is one, also one prosperity, with equality and opportunity. The hope is that in this way, unity will be maintained," he said.
According to him, in various countries around the world, maintaining unity becomes difficult when there is injustice. Unity cannot be realized in conditions of inequality and inequality.
"So if we want this unity to be maintained, equality and justice must be a priority," he added.

Anies gave an example in the field of sports, especially football infrastructure. According to him, stadium infrastructure is not only used for football, but also other activities that have positive value so that it can unite all levels of society.
"What we want to build in Makassar and in other provinces in Indonesia is the FIFA standard sports stadium which can also be used for social activities, cultural activities, and religious activities. The stadium unites, it makes all the different backgrounds, sitting together in the stadium feel a feeling of togetherness," he said.
