Hylo Open 2023: Two Indonesian Women's Doubles to the Round of 16

JAKARTA – Women's doubles Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti and Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi have qualified for the last 16 of the Hylo Open 2023.

Apri/Fadia, who are the second seeds, qualified after stopping the United States pair, Annie Xu/Kerry Xu, in two straight games 21-14 and 21-10 in Saarlandhalle, Saarbrucken, Germany, Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

In the second round, Apri/Fadia will face the winner of Serena Au Yeong/Katharina Hochmeir (Austria) against Kirsten de Wit/Kelly van Buiten (Netherland).

Meanwhile, the Febriana/Amalia pair reached the second round of the BWF Super 300 event after stopping Tanisha Crasto/Ashwini Ponnappa.

The fifth seed also won two straight games 21-15 and 21-18 over their opponents. This is Ana/Tiwi's second win over the Indian pair.

Previously, these two pairs met at the Australian Open last August. At that time, Ana/Tiwi was forced to play a rubber game.

In the round of 16, Ana/Tiwi will face Li Yi Jing/Luo Xu Min from China or the Danish badminton pair, Julie Finne-Ipsen/Mai Surrow.
