Intelligence Analysis, Police Recommend The Panji Gumilang Tak Trial In Indramayu
The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police recommended that the trial process for the alleged blasphemy case with the suspect Panji Gumilang not be carried out in the Indramayu area, West Java. The recommendation is the result of intelligence analysis.
"The results of the intelligence analysis may be conveyed there that the trial should not be held in Indramayu," said Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro to reporters, Monday, October 30.
However, the results of the intelligence analysis are limited to recommendations. Thus, the decision regarding the location of the trial will be determined by the Indramayu District Attorney and the court.
"But the area that will determine further whether the trial will be moved or will still be held in Indramayu," he said.
There are several considerations behind the recommendation, one of which is to keep conditions safe. Because, currently it has entered the General Election stage (Pemilu).
"So that we keep the situation in the area safe and under control," said Djuhandhani.
Panji Gumilang was transferred to the Indramayu District Attorney's Office, Monday, October 30. This second phase of delegation was carried out after the alleged blasphemy case file was declared complete.
The delegation of Panji Gumilang to the Indramayu District Attorney's Office was due to locus delicti or where the crime occurred in the area.
In this second phase of the process, investigators also transferred a number of pieces of evidence in the alleged blasphemy case. Some of them, such as video recordings and laptops.

"(Evidence) Covers videos, then the tools used when delivering news and so on, including laptops, CCTV used at the time of the incident we all. Then, after we carry out laboratory tests, we will also submit the results from the laboratory to the prosecutor's office," said Djuhandhani.
In this case, Panji Gumilag is suspected of violating Article 14 Paragraph (1) Subsidies Article 14 Paragraph (2) Subsidies Article 15 of Law Number 1 Year 1946 or Article 156a Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code or Article 45A Paragraph (2) Jo. Article 28 Paragraph (2) Law Number 19 Year 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 Year 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE).
