Bengkulu Police Receives Return Of IDR 648 Million In Cash Related To Corruption In Seluma BPBD Funds

BENGKULU - Sub-Directorate for Corruption Crime at the Bengkulu Regional Police Ditreskrimsus received a refund of state losses of Rp. 648 million from five suspects in the corruption case of the emergency response fund of the Seluma Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD).

"We have received the return of state losses from several suspects," said Head of the Tipidkor Sub-Directorate of the Bengkulu Police, KompolKhoiril Akbar, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 23.

The return of state losses was carried out by the suspect NH as a supervisory consultant in accordance with the calculation of the alleged loss of Rp138 million.

Then the suspect SE returned Rp159 million for the rehabilitation of the suspension bridge in Padang Merbau Village, South Seluma District, which was carried out by CVazelia Roza Lestari with a work value of Rp495 million.

The suspect CI returned Rp223 million from the construction project of the gabunjong on Jalan Bungamas-Pasar Sembayat, East Seluma District, which was carried out by CVCahaya Dharma Konstruksi with a work value of Rp498 million.

Furthermore, the suspect JU returned Rp78 million for the construction of the gabjong of the Seluma water suspension bridge, Puguk Village, which was carried out byhameluma Jaya Konstruksi with a work value of Rp330 million.

Finally, the suspect SU returned Rp50 million related to the construction work of the boxculvert on Jalan Kabupaten (Lubuk Gadis Village) which was carried out by CV Defira with a work value of Rp225 million.

According to Khoiril, at least there are still around Rp. 800 million more in state losses that should have been returned to the state treasury by several other suspects.

"Of the other suspects, not yet. What is clear is that this case is still in the process of being transferred to the prosecutor's office," he said.

The Bengkulu Regional Police have previously named 12 suspects in the alleged corruption case of the Seluma Regency BPBD unexpected aid fund.

The determination of the suspect was carried out after investigators found that the physical construction work was not in accordance with the specifications and volume in the contract so that it could potentially cause state losses.

The 12 suspects are the Head of BPBD Seluma with the initials M, Head of Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of BPBD Seluma Regency, Director of CV DN Racing Construction DI, then WWE and NS (Wadir CV DN Racing Construction), CP (Wadir CV Cahaya Dharma Construction), AL (Wadir CV Seluma Jaya Construction), EM (Wadir CV Fello Putri Paiker), SP (Wadir CV Defira), SG (Director of CV Permata Group), SE (Wadir CV Aselia Rosa Lestari), and NU (Director of CV Atha Buana Consultant).
