One Of Historic Tourism Icons, Pasar Gede Solo Will Be Beautified
SOLO - Surakarta City Government, Central Java beautifies the Pasar Gede area in Solo City, which has been one of the regional tourism icons. Head of Surakarta City DPUPR Nur Basuki said the arrangement was carried out in the corridor of Pasar Gede, namely on Jalan RE Martadinata to Simpang Ketantangan with the addition of installations to make pedestrians more comfortable during a visit to the Pasar Gede area. According to him, the main arrangement was focused around Pasar Gede, but after coordination, the arrangement was finally carried out to Simpang Ketantan. "The work package is structuring pedestrians and drainage," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, October 13. Meanwhile, by the current Surakarta City Government, the Gatot Subroto Corridor is used for night tourism. Many SMEs, especially handicrafts, are selling in the area to attract many visitors both from within and outside the city.

Previously, the Surakarta City Government continued to organize infrastructure at a number of points with the aim of attracting more tourists to Solo. Several infrastructure projects in the tourism sector will be completed in the near future, namely Balekambang Park and the arrangement of Solo Safari phase two.
