Already Joining Neymar In Brazil's National Team For 2026 World Cup Qualification, Marquinhos: Adaptation Goes Fast
JAKARTA - The Brazil squad for the 2026 World Cup Qualification has been confirmed complete, following the presence of Neymar and Marquinhos on the list. Both have even joined the team's training camp which was held on Tuesday, October 10 local time.
The Brazilian national team will play their first match against Venezuela in Cuiaba on Friday, October 13. The Samba team will then visit the Montevideo to fight Uruguay on October 18 morning WIB.
Marquinhos is the last player to join the team. He admitted that preparations went smoothly. He was very excited because the adaptation that occurred in the team was also very fast.
"Quick adaptation and good communication are very important," Marquinhos was quoted as saying by the BBC on Thursday, October 12.
"We want to win these important matches," he continued, expressing hope for the team.
Apart from Marquinhos, who can't wait to play with the Brazilian national team, Neymar, who has also arrived in Cuiaba, expressed his joy.
"I look forward to great matches and wins. Representing Brazil is an honor," said Neymar, who is now competing in the Saudi Pro League.
So far, Brazil have played well in the qualifying round. They beat Bolivia 5-1 and Peru 1-0. Now, Brazil is leading the standings with six points followed by Argentina and Colombia.
The joining of Neymar and Marquinhos could add to the strength of the Brazilian national team, which is already known to be tough. With international experience, both players are clearly important capital for the match later.
