Indomaret In Panongan Tangerang Robbed Up To Rp35 Million, Perpetrators Bring Firearms

TANGERANG - An Indomaret in the Mekar Bakti area, Panongan, Tangerang Regency was robbed and suffered a loss of Rp35 million. The perpetrators are said to be carrying firearms (senpi) and threatening employees.

Moh Hadi, one of Indomaret's employees, said that the incident occurred on Tuesday, September 26, at 22.15 WIB.

The incident began when he and his partner intended to close Indomaret. Then the perpetrator came, he pretended to want to go to a cash standalone (ATM).

Not long after, three of the perpetrator's friends came to the scene. One of the perpetrators pointed a firearm at the cashier.

"Violating by pointing a gun while threatening not to scream," Hadi said when met, Wednesday, September 26.

Furthermore, the perpetrators led three employees to the corner of the room. Then the perpetrators stole around Rp. 10 million in cash from inside the safe and cigarette-type items and one employee's motorbike.

"The items taken were 10 million in cash, goods such as cigarettes, matches and motorbikes. The total loss was around Rp. 35 million," he said.

Contacted, Panongan Police Chief Hotma Patuan Anggari Manurung confirmed the incident. His party is currently pursuing the gang of robbers.

"Now we are investigating to reveal this case," he concluded.
