The First Session Of The Child Death Case Of The Acting Governor Of Papua, The Mountains, Was Held Behind Closed Doors

The Semarang City District Court (PN) tried Ahmad Nashir as a defendant in the case of the death of the crew, the son of the Governor of Papua Mountains, Nikolaus Kondomo.

Semarang District Court spokesman Aris Bawono Langgeng confirmed that the trial with the agenda of reading the indictment was held behind closed doors.

"The trial was led by Chief Judge Bambang Budi Mursito," said Aris in Semarang City, Central Java, Tuesday, September 26, which was confiscated by Antara.

According to him, the case was included in an immoral case, so the trial was held behind closed doors.

"Still later when the trial decision is held is open to the public," he added.

The trial agenda, which was attended by the defendant Ahmad Nashir from a detainee in Semarang Prison, was the reading of the indictment by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) Supinto Priyono.

In his indictment, the prosecutor demanded that the defendant be charged with an alternative charge, namely violating Law (UU) Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection or Article 338 of the Criminal Code concerning Murder. The trial will be held again next week with the agenda of examining witnesses.

Previously, the Semarang Police investigated the case of the death of a 16-year-old woman in a boarding house on Jalan Pawiyatan Luhur, Semarang City, on May 18, 2023.

The victim was later identified as the son of Nikolaus Kondomo, who is also an Expert Staff for Inter-Institutional Relations and International Cooperation at the Attorney General's Office. The victim was taken to the hospital before finally being declared dead.

From the crime scene, the police secured a number of evidences in the form of a number of bottles of alcoholic beverages of various types. A forensic examination stated that the victim of a crew member died due to respiratory failure and poisoning.
