Johan's Tricks, Ciu Factory Owner In Tambora Installs Lawfirm Rainbows To Trick Officers
JAKARTA - KL alias Johan (53), a ciu type liquor maker (alcohol) on the 4th floor of the Ruko building in the Iron Bridge area, Tambora District, West Jakarta, has a way to prevent the liquor production house he built from being detected by police officers.
So that the practice of making ciu is not known to the police, Johan installs a sign that reads the Lawfirm office or the attorney's office at the shop he occupies.
"The modus operandi of the perpetrator involves renting a 4-story shophouse which is camouflaged as a convection place with a Lawfirm office nameplate. The nameplate of the Lawfirm office has completed the rental process but the legal house is still installed," said West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes M Syahduddi, Thursday, September 21.
The shophouse, which was installed with Lawfirm's nameplate, turned out to be an illegal ciu manufacturing factory. The perpetrator's activities have been going on for quite a long time.
"On the ground floor as a convection place while the upper floor of the shophouse is used for the production of ciu illegal liquor," he said.
In his recklessness, the perpetrator gets a monthly turnover of up to IDR 80 million. Meanwhile, the weekly turnover is IDR 15 to 20 million.
"His confession has been operating for 8 months," he said.

The police confiscated evidence belonging to the perpetrator named KL alias Johan as many as 129 large drums for fermentation, 4560 bottles of ciu ready for distribution, 7 jerry cans containing 30 liters of ciu, 5 furnaces, 30 gas cylinders, 9 large pans, 31 sacks of sugar, 11 empty buckets, 8 large empty drums, 9 packs of yeast, one sack of red rice and one scale.
Previously, it was reported that a shophouse that was used as a liquor maker (alcohol) was raided by the Tambora Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Tuesday, September 19.
"It's true, we carried out a raid on a shophouse that was used as a place for making ciu type alcohol," said Tambora Police Chief, Kompol Putra Pratama when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, September 19, evening.
