PLN Will Electricity 2,097 Villages Using PMN Funds Of IDR 5.86 Trillion
PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) or PLN will receive capital injections through state capital participation (PMN) from investment reserve funds worth IDR 5.86 trillion.
These funds will be used to electrify 2,097 villages.
For your information, initially the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) proposed State Capital Participation (PMN) of IDR 10 trillion.
However, the value agreed by the DPR's budget agency (Banggar) is IDR 5.86 trillion.
This was stated by the President Director of PT PLN Darmawan Prasodjo in a Hearing Meeting with Commission VI of the DPR, Wednesday, September 20.
"The 2024 PMN proposal worth IDR 5.86 trillion is used 100 percent for the village electricity program," said Darmawan.
He also explained that the PMN will be used to build a network of low voltage (JTR) along 4,363 kms and a network of more than 7,589 kms of medium voltage (JTM).
"This increases the ratio of electricityed villages from 93.68 percent in 2023 to 96.19 percent," he said.
Darmawan said he detailed the use of PMN worth Rp5.86 trillion.
He said, worth IDR 0.98 trillion would be allocated to Sumatra.
Then, continued Darmwan, as much as Rp2.31 trillion will be allocated to the Kalimantan region.
Then, Rp0.89 trillion for Sulawesi, while Maluku, Papua, and Nusa Tenggara Rp1.55 trillion, and in Java Rp0.13 trillion.
"A total of IDR 5.86 trillion, and this once again serves the connecting of village electricity as many as 2,076 villages," he explained.

Previously reported, the reduction in PMN value for PT PLN (Persero) to Rp5.86 trillion from the proposed Rp10 trillion was disclosed by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir.
"There is a correction (PMN) for PLN, there is Rp5.86 trillion which used to be Rp10 trillion used for village electrification," he said in a working meeting with Commission VI of the DPR, Thursday, September 14.
