92 Jambi Prison Prisoners Confirmed TB Separated From Other Prisoners
JAMBI - As many as 92 inmates or convicts of the Jambi Penitentiary (Lapas) who tested positive for tuberculosis or tuberculosis were quarantined.
Head of the Correctional Division of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) Jambi Aris Munandar said the convicts of TB patients were separated from other detainees so that there was no transmission.
"The 92 inmates were isolated and quarantined in one place, separated from prisoners and other detainees," said Aris in Jambi, Tuesday, September 19, which was confiscated by Antara.
The Jambi prison inmates were confirmed positive for TB based on the results of the recent examination by health workers.
"The inmates tested positive after a health check was carried out by the Jambi Class II A prison officer," he said.

He explained that the case of TB transmission at the Jambi Class II A Prison was found during a health check carried out by the Directorate General of Corrections in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.
In a health check conducted on about 1,300 inmates at Jambi Class II A Prison, he said, 92 people were found to be positive for TB.
According to him, inmates who were positive for TB have undergone a tuberculosis treatment program with supervision from health workers.
