Potential For Infrastructure Markets To Increase, Adikons Presents Furukawa's Latest Products
JAKARTA - The Government of the Republic of Indonesia has budgeted IDR 422.7 trillion for infrastructure development in 2024. The infrastructure development is to increase productivity, mobility, connectivity, and fair equity throughout the country. This is as stated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Jokowi in the Speech of the Financial Note and RAPBN 2024 on August 16, 2023.
Previously in early 2023, based on Indonesia's official website, the Indonesian government had also set 10 new National Strategic Projects (PSN). So that currently there is a total number of 210 PSN projects and 12 programs with an investment value of IDR 5,746.4 trillion.
Adikons as one of the heavy equipment providers in the infrastructure/construction segment sees this as an opportunity and introduces the latest product of Furukawa Rock Drill (FRD), namely the Crawler Rock Drill HCR L100 from the L series, which was launched in January 2023. This L series has a fresh look compared to the previous 1500 HCR model, and L100 continues to use the proven effective HD700 Drifter series.
The company also introduced HCR1200DSIII type equipped with CAT C7 engine and T51 rod suitable for rock with moderate violence in coal mining, as well as Pneumatic Crawler Drill PCR200 which has long been used in quarry mining.
These machines have a series of HD700 Drifters produced by FRDs with powerful, durable, and easy-to-maintain top hammer hits. With L100's latest series equipped with CAT C9.3B engines, Furukawa has introduced drilling modes with various fuel-saving mechanisms, so that final users can gain performance and high-level productivity with lower fuel consumption.
William Jonathan, President Director of Adikons, explained that Furukawa Rock Drill and Furukawa Industrial Machinery Systems (FIMS) are the core businesses of ADIKONS.
"From FRD, we market Top Hammer Rock Drill, as well as Rock Drill's Down-The-Hole (DTH), which is mostly used for drilling explosion holes. From FIMS, we market Aggregate Crushers and in some limited applications, Milling Machines," he explained in a written statement, Friday, September 15.
Indonesia, as a leading global commodity producer and with infrastructure projects that continue to grow, has various industries that can utilize FRD rock drills and FIMS crushers.
PCR200 FRD Pneumatics drills have been a favorite for quarry mining since 2000. Crawler HCR and DCR rock drills can be used in limestone, coal and gold mining projects. Meanwhile, commodity prices are up and down based on global trends, wide (infinite) applications to certain mining segments for FRD rock drills and FIMS crushers ensure steady performance for ADIKONS in the coming years.
Furthermore, Harry Soga, Director of Furukawa Rock Drill explained, Furukawa Rock Drill is part of the FURUKAWA Group of Companies, which will celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2025.
"Our company's history began when we made a significant contribution to the modernization of copper mining, which is the original business of the Furukawa Company Group, by providing rock drills and patent rock drilling products," he said.
Although FRD has the presence of a large market share in American and European countries through Furukawa Rock Drill USA and Furukawa Rock Drill Europe, FRD still produces all products in Japan. This ensures a consistent quality and our ability to maintain our patented technology within the company.
