PSSI Chairman: Indonesian National Team Flys To Germany September 16, Will Practice At Borussia Dortmund's Facilities
JAKARTA - The 2023 U-17 World Cup will be held in Indonesia on November 10 - December 2. As the host, the U-17 Indonesian national team is required to give the best performance.
The Bima Sakti fleet is trying to make thorough preparations. One of them is by holding a training camp in Germany.
General Chairperson (PSSI), Erick Thohir said the Garuda Nusantara team will leave for Europe on September 16. "There is also a plan that the Minister (Menpora) will visit the agenda for preparations for the U-17 national team in Germany around September 20," said Erick Thohir at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Senayan on Tuesday, September 12.
Erick Thohir continued that the players TC brought to Germany amounted to 28 to 34 players. They will do TC for approximately five weeks.
In addition to focusing on training, the U-17 national team will also hold several trials.
"What is certain is that there will be 28 to 34 players (going to Germany) to ensure their condition is excellent while there so they are not injured," he said.
"In Germany, there will be a two-time trial against the national team of other countries and four German league clubs. BTN will announce the certainty, usually in a few days there will be changes," continued the SOE Minister.
During the training camp in Germany, Muhammad Iqbal Gwijangge et al will use the facilities and fields provided by Borussia Dortmund. Of course this is a golden opportunity for the players to try out the facilities of the Bundesliga top club.
"The German league is preparing four games and I thank them for preparing facilities at Dortmund yesterday, one of the best clubs in Germany," explained Erick Thohir.
