This Hunting Group Is Able To Break The Record Of The Longest Crocodiles Ever Arrested
JAKARTA - A group of hunters from Mississippi, United States managed to break the state record for the longest crocodile ever caught in the state, where they managed to catch a reptile 14 feet 3 inches long weighing more than 800 pounds.
Game White, Don Woods, Will Thomas and Joey Clark of Red Antler Processing, a grocery and hunting store, are working together to catch the big crocodile, according to a Facebook post on August 26 from the company, as reported by CNN September 4.
The Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Taman Mississippi confirmed in a post on social media that the 14-meter-long crocodile had broken state records for "the longest captured crocodile."
According to the department, the group caught the reptile that broke the record in the West Central Crocodile Hunting Zone. The 802.5-pound giant also has a 66-inch belly circumference and a 46.5-inch tail circumference, the department said.
"Congratulations to these Mississippi hunters," the department said in a post on Facebook, as reported by The National News from AP.
Crocodiles can be found throughout Mississippi, according to the website of the wildlife department. Hunting reptiles for sport has been permitted in the state since 2005, with different laws applicable to hunting in public and private waters.

The crocodile hunting season in Mississippi opens on the last Friday of August every year. In 2023, this season ends on September 4.
A total of 776 crocodiles were caught in Mississippi in 2021, the last year with publicly available data. And the average length of one of the crocodiles is just under 8 feet - about half of the length of the catch that broke the Red Antler Processings record.
