Russia Calls The United States' Steps To Supply Uranium Ammunition To Ukraine Is Not Humane
JAKARTA - The Russian Embassy in the United States has condemned Washington's decision to use no longer feasible uranium ammunition to Ukraine as an inhumane act.
"The US Government's decision to send uranium ammunition to Kyiv is a clear signature of inhumaneity," the Russian Embassy wrote, as reported by TASS September 7.
"Obviously, Washington, which is obsessed with the idea of giving Russia a'strategic defeat', is ready to fight not only up to last Ukraine, but also to end future generations," the embassy continued.
Earlier, the Pentagon on Wednesday said Washington would provide Ukraine a $175 million military aid package.
The package is said to include air defense equipment, artillery ammunition, anti-tank weapons, including uranium ammunition for the Abrams tanks belonging to Uncle Sam's country.
"The US deliberately transfers weapons with indiscriminate effects. They are fully aware of the consequences: such ammunition explosions result in the formation of moving radioactive clouds. Small uranium particles settle in respiratory, lung, concavity, accumulated in the kidneys and liver, causing cancer and resulting in the inhibition of the entire function of organisms. Enough precise to see traces of American uranium in Iraq and the Balkans, where thousands of civilians suffer from cancer," the embassy said.

"By supplying Ukrainian authorities with these bullets, the United States is involved in self-delibration, refusing to accept a failure from what is referred to as a counter-attack by the Ukrainian armed forces. The way for special military operations will not change, the Russian Armed Forces will continue to deploy weapons sent to Zelensky's regime methodically," the statement said.
"The US government, in turn, reveals its original color: they really don't care about Ukraine's present and the future of this republic and neighboring countries in Europe," the statement concluded.
