Vehicles That Have Not Passed The Emission Test For High Parking Charges In 10 DKI Locations, Here Are The Tariffs

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Air Pollution Control Task Force Ani Ruspitawati emphasized that her party has a policy of imposing high parking rates at 10 locations for vehicles that have not or have not passed the emission test. The disincentive rate at the parking location belonging to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government for motorized vehicles that do not pass or have not carried out emission tests is applied in the context of handling Jakarta air quality pollution.Spokesperson for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Air Pollution Control Task Force Ani Ruspitawati explained, this refers to DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation Number 66 of 2020 concerning written Motor Vehicle Exhaust Emission Tests. In Pergub 66/2020, it is stated that every motor vehicle owner who does not do or does not meet the regulations for the exhaust emission test will be subject to a disincentive tariff in the form of the highest tariff payment."Every vehicle that has not passed the emission test will be detected in ten parking locations belonging to the DKI Provincial Government, through a vehicle plate whose data has been integrated with the Environment Agency," said Ani in her statement, Wednesday, September 6.The ten parking locations that apply the disincentive rates are in the IRTI Monas parking lot, Blok M Square parking area, West Jakarta Samsat Office parking lot, Mayestik Market parking area, Park and Ride Kalideres, Menteng Park parking building, Pasar Baru Palace parking building, Park and Ride Lebak Bulus, Park and Ride Kampung Rambutan Terminal, and Taman Ismail Marzuki parking lot (TIM).In this parking disincentive, four-wheeled vehicles that have not or have not passed the emission test are subject to a parking rate of 7,500 rupiah per hour or are progressive in each parking location belonging to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. However, at the Park and Ride location, four-wheeled vehicles are subject to a parking rate of 7,500 rupiah per parking or a flat tariff applies. The tariff has not yet been applied to two-wheeled vehicles.Furthermore, Ani hopes that the disincentive tariff can suppress the use of private vehicles and encourage people to switch to public transportation.
"For this reason, we invite the entire community to immediately test the emissions of their private motorized vehicles. The location of the emission test can be accessed through the JAKI application or the testemisi.jakarta.go.id website. This is our joint effort to make Jakarta's sky blue, bright, and healthy air,” he added.
