Marunda Flats Roof Collapses, DPRD Calls The DKI Provincial Government Too Management Of Houses DP Rp0

JAKARTA - Member of Commission D of the DKI Jakarta DPRD August Hamonangan assessed that the collapse of the roof of the C5 Rusunawa Marunda block was caused by the DKI Housing and Settlement Area Service (DPRKP) being too busy dealing with the Rp0 DP House program.

"The DPRKP is troubled by the 0 rupiah DP house, which can actually be considered a failure and lack of interest for DKI residents," August said in a written statement, Tuesday, September 5.

August also views that the DKI Provincial Government also does not have priority programs that focus on housing and settlements.

The program for structuring settlements left by Anies Baswedan when he was Governor of DKI, namely the Community Action Plan (CAP) and the Collaborative Implementation Program (CIP), continued August, were still not fully implemented.

"Sometimes during the CAP program, in its implementation (CIP) it actually collides and hinders the follow-up to public complaints, for example when residents complain that there are still a lot of puddles, so it is necessary to immediately widen the water channel, the SDA Service often conveys that the widening of the water channel cannot be done on the grounds related to the CAP-CIP program," August said.

Thus, August stated that the collapse of the roof was a form of the DPRKP's lack of seriousness in efforts to treat flats in Jakarta.

"This is evident in the lack of seriousness in the DPRKP regarding the maintenance of flats. Construction and maintenance of flats should be a priority for the DPRKP instead of focusing on the DP o rupiah program," he said.

The collapse of the roof of the DKI Provincial Government's flat occurred on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at around 21.10 WIB. Luckily there were no casualties in the incident.

A day later, the DKI DPRKP asked residents living in block C to move to the Nagrak Flat which is also in Cilincing District for safety reasons. It was recorded that 451 families who were residents of block C1-C5 were willing to be relocated.

Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Area (DPRKP) Retno Sulistyaningrum said that his party will revitalize the Marunda flat, Cilincing, North Jakarta in the near future.

This is in the aftermath of the collapse of the roof of the C5 Rusunawa Marunda block building. Moreover, the current block C Marunda building is also considered unfit for habitation.

"The DKI Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Area Office will plan to revitalize the Marunda Rusunawa, according to the results of BRIN's research that the Cluster C building in Marunda Flats is no longer suitable in a building structure as the results of the inspection of the building carried out by BRIN," said Retno.

Currently, continued Retno, residents are starting to transport their belongings gradually. Efforts are made, all residents of Block C have moved this September.

"Some residents have transferred goods, which are facilitated by UPRS II, UPRS III, North Jakarta Mayors and Satpol PP," he added.
