14 Vehicles In Rawamangun, East Jakarta, Get An Emission Test Ticket

JAKARTA A total of 14 vehicles, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled in East Jakarta, received a ticket for emission tests on Jalan Pemuda, Rawamangun, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta, Friday. The raid was held by the East Jakarta Police in collaboration with the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency.

Deputy Head of the DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency, Sarjoko, said that of the 72 vehicles affected by the raid to carry out emission tests, 14 of them were subject to ticketing.

"There were 72 vehicles that were tested for emissions, 27 cars, 10 of which did not pass. If there were 45 motorbikes that did not pass there were four. Those who did not pass the emission test were subject to ticket sanctions," he said.

According to him, the ticketing action is in accordance with Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation.

"Consequences for vehicles that do not pass the emission test are subject to fines with fines in accordance with Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation Article 285 and Article 286," said Sarjoko.

For motorcyclists who are proven not to have passed the emission test, they will be fined a fine of Rp. 250,000. Meanwhile, cars that do not pass the emission test will be fined Rp. 500,000.

The officer also gave directions to motorists whose vehicles did not pass the emission test to carry out maintenance.

The emission test raid is planned to continue until next November.
