Parents Of Child Abuse Toddlers In Sukabumi Become Suspects

SUKABUMI - The Women's and Children Protection Unit of the Sukabumi Police Criminal and Investigation Unit, West Java, named a man with the initials E (34), a resident of Gunungbuleud Village, Sukabumi Regency, West Java, as a suspect for alleged abuse of his biological child who is still a toddler.

"After investigators examined E and strengthened with evidence, one of which was a video recording showing the man was molesting his son, we decided to identify him as a suspect," said Sukabumi Police Chief AKBP Maruly Pardede, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 29.

Suspect E is currently being held in the Sukabumi Police Headquarters cell for further investigation.

The police chief said the suspect was desperate to persecute his baby with the initials A because he was annoyed at his wife or the victim's mother who had not returned from Saudi Arabia for a long time and no longer sent money for the cost of his two children.

In addition, the suspect, who is unemployed, became irritated after his son asked for snacks. Allegedly unable to contain his emotions, the suspect finally vented his anger on his son.

Even the abuse was deliberately recorded by the suspect and then sent to his wife who was working in Saudi Arabia and uploaded it to social media.

However, the video of child violence went viral, triggering anger from its neighbors. Residents finally arrested E and handed it over to the police.

"We will explain the full details during a press conference on Tuesday (29/8)," he added.

It was reported that a man with the initials E, a resident of Gunungbuleud Village, Cipamingkis Village, was arrested by residents and handed over to the Sukabumi Police after a one minute 35 second video showing himself molesting his child was still a toddler went viral on social media.
