Meeting With The TNI-Polri, Nduga Regent Plans To Build Security Posts On The Keneyam Line
PAPUA - Acting (Pj) Nduga Regent Edison Nggwijangge plans to add a number of security posts, especially along the Keneyam-Batas Batu route, Nduga Regency, Papua Province, Mountains.
The construction of the post is to create a safe and peaceful situation in the local area.
"On Thursday (August 24) we had a joint meeting with Dandim 1706/Nduga, the Nduga Police Chief, and several representatives of the merchant community and drivers to discuss the murder that took place on Wednesday (August 16) in the City of Keneyam," said Edison in a written statement, Friday, August 25, confiscated by Antara.
Edison asked the entire community to remain calm so that his party together with security can build and maintain security in Nduga Regency.
"The government can only plan development, but the success of the development depends on the participation and awareness of the local community," he said.
With this meeting, he continued, the government has sufficient power to provide security in Nduga Regency, as evidenced until now the situation and conditions are quite safe.
For this reason, his party will follow up on the central government regarding security in this area.

Based on the meeting some time ago, he said, it resulted in a vertical agreement between the government and the public regarding security guarantees.
In addition, representatives of the community and the government, as well as TNI/Polri officers, agreed to create a conducive security in Nduga Regency.
"This is a follow-up so that we will implement a RPU security system (main security route) on the Keneyam 'Batas Batu route to ensure the safety of transportation activities," he said.
Previously, a coordination meeting had been held after the strike by the merchant community and drivers. The meeting took place in the Nduga Regent meeting room, Thursday, August 24.
