PLN's Advanced Electricity Supply Supports The August 17 Flag Ceremony At The Presidential Palace In Jakarta

JAKARTA - The success of the August 17 Flag Ceremony which took place solemnly at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta cannot be separated from the important role of PLN in providing modern and sophisticated electricity supply.

The ceremony to commemorate the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, which is chaired by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, has received full support from the integrated PLN electricity infrastructure.

A total of 107 PLN officers were on guard at 24 standby post points spread across the Jakarta Presidential Palace complex, ensuring the smooth process of raising and lowering the heirloom flag.

The state event was also attended by the Vice President, representatives from 38 provinces of the Republic of Indonesia, state guests, and 16,000 other invitees, further emphasizing the importance of providing stable and reliable electricity.

In this context, General Manager of PLN Jakarta Raya Distribution Main Unit, Lasiran, emphasized the important meaning of PLN's role in the smooth running of this historic event.

"The ceremony to raise and lower the heirloom flag in the context of the 78th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia is a very important sacred event at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta because the plan will be the last before the capital city is transferred to the State Capital (IKN)," said Lasiran in a written statement received by VOI, Friday 18 August.

Previously, the electricity revitalization at the Jakarta Presidential Palace complex was inaugurated on August 1, 2023. This change has changed the electricity system from previously vulnerable, spread, and operated manually to more sophisticated, modern, and reliable.

PLN provides a layered electricity supply system, including 4 supply lines with "green" transformers without oil equipped with an automatic tuning supply system, an anti-lighty Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), as well as a silent latest technology generator.

All of these systems are centrally controlled through Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) at the Jakarta Presidential Palace Power House.

Lasiran emphasized that the Presidential Palace electricity system is supplied from 4 main substations, in backup with Uninterruptible Power Supply 8 x 400 kVA, and a 4 x 2,000 kVA capacity generator.

"With this, we ensure that the Presidential Palace can function optimally in the face of valuable state events," he added.

He said, the success of providing reliable electricity is also a reflection of PLN's commitment to maintaining the smooth running and security of important national events.
