Guests Invited To The Indonesian Independence Day Began Visiting The Jakarta Presidential Palace
JAKARTA - A number of invited guests for the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia began visiting the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Thursday morning, August 17. They are preparing to attend the Proclamation Seconds Ceremony at the Merdeka Palace Courtyard, Jakarta.
The Palace has spread at least 8,000 invitations to the public to take part in the live ceremony, where registrations have been opened some time ago.
The series of ceremonies will begin with the appearance of national songs. Subsequently, an heirloom flag from Monas will be handed over to be carried by the Kencana Train Troops convoy through a number of roads around Monas including the horse statue, Jakarta, to the Merdeka Palace.
Then an aerobatic aircraft attraction will be displayed by the Indonesian National Army (TNI) from three dimensions, before the ceremony begins. The ceremony will start at around 09.45 WIB led directly by President Joko Widodo.

As in previous years, President Jokowi and First Lady Ma'ruf Amin as well as Wury Ma'ruf Amin's wife will wear traditional clothes at this ceremony.
Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet and invited guests were also asked to wear traditional regional clothes to attend the ceremony at the Merdeka Palace.
In addition to invited guests, journalists from the Presidential Palace who covered were also asked to wear regional traditional clothes for coverage activities.
