30 TNI Aircraft Clean Fly Pass For The 78th Indonesian Independence Day
JAKARTA - A total of 30 aircraft from three TNI dimensions participated in the last series of clean rehearsals for air attractions (fly passes) above the skies of the State Palace and the National Monument (Monas) for the commemoration of the 78th Indonesian Independence Day on August 17, 2023.
The planes, most of which are parked at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta, started a rehearsal at around 10.00 WIB. The entire series of attractions ended at around 11.30 WIB.
"(Air imaging starts) ahead of the Independence Ceremony (at the State Palace) and after the Independence Ceremony. Later it will be completed at its peak (airplanes) will pass above. It's a bitsurprises (shocks, ed.) yes. Kamingakbisabocorin," said Head of the Indonesian Air Force Information Service (Kadispenau) First Marshal R. Agung Sasongkojati when met at the aircraft parking location, South Terminal Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 15.
Air attractions for the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia involved 10 Indonesian Air Force F-16 fighter aircraft, six Indonesian Air Force KT-1B Wongbee trainers, five Indonesian Air Force Colibri helicopters, one Indonesian Air Force Boeing 737 aircraft, and eight helicopters from three TNI dimensions consisting of two Indonesian Air Force Caracal helicopters, Army Apache helicopters, Indonesian Navy helicopters and helicopters from the National Police.
The helicopters from the three dimensions of the TNI and Polri who took part in the fly passout of the 78th Indonesian Independence Day will fly from Atang Sendjaja Air Base, Bogor, West Java.
"For fighters, namely the F-16, there will be a fly pass over the Palace, then Jupiter Aerobatic Team (JAT) will dance aerobaticly over the Palace, and Pegasus will also dance. However, we cannot say (Pegasus) is an aerobatic, but it is more like a dance in the air. Next there is a flag giant flag. The flag giant flag is carried by two Caracal Air Force helicopters and each is escorted by Apache helicopters from the Army, then a helicopter from the Navy, and the police," said R. Agung Sasongkojati.
The order of attractions will begin with 10 F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter aircraft from Air Squadron 14 Iswahjudi Air Base in Magetan, East Java. The fighter pilots will form a formation called diamond and bombburst.

Then, eight helicopters from three TNI dimensions which were divided into two pieces flew carrying two large Red and White flags.
Attraction continues with the acrobatic action of Jupiter Aerobatic Team (JAT) flying the KT-1B Wongbee training aircraft. There are six air maneuvers displayed, namely Half Cuban, Five Card Loop, Cross Over Brake, Jupiter Wheel, Good Roll, and Love and Bombout maneuvers.
Then, Dynamic Pegasus, a team of Indonesian Air Force pilots flying the EC-120B Colibri helicopter (Hummingbird) will feature two phase attractions, namely Break Off air maneuvers and Gasus Cross (first phase) andWindmill, Gemufamire and Pegasus Kiss (second phase).
The rehearsal series has been going on since Sunday (13/8), namely a dirty rehearsal session, then a rehearsal on Monday (14/8), and the last rehearsal on Tuesday.
