Google And YouTube Will Disburse More Than IDR 2 Billion To Digitalize SMEs
JAKARTA - Google and YouTube announced their new partnership with the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (KemenKopUKM) and SMESCO, by providing more than IDR 2 billion to eligible SMEs throughout Indonesia for various digital marketing tools.
In addition, this partnership also features a SME training workshop and a social campaign called #FlksingLokal #BarengGoogle and YouTube, with the theme SME Transformation for the Future
"I really appreciate how YouTube and Google support the digital transformation of MSMEs in the country, one of which is through training and support to help develop their business online," said Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs (MenKopUKM) Teten Masduki in a statement received by VOI on Sunday, August 13.
With this support, Teten hopes to be able to accelerate the achievement of the government's target of 30 million MSMEs entering the digital ecosystem, where currently more than 22 million MSMEs have been onboarded.
"Since 2017, Google has coached more than two million business owners across the country. In line with the government, we are committed to providing access to the same opportunities and hope that this support will help more businesses develop their businesses online and find new customers," said Randy Jusuf, Managing Director of Google Indonesia.

On the other hand, to improve creative economy driving skills, partnerships with SMESCO will focus on four industries: tourism, lifestyle (F&B and Fashion), media and entertainment, as well as game developers and apps.
Rendy also believes that digital marketing skills have increased and resulted in greater customer engagement. According to a survey conducted, 73 percent of small business owners said YouTube was critical to their business growth.
Located in the historical record studio of Lokananta in Solo, Central Java, YouTube and Google presented various trainings ranging from training around digital marketing to coaching clinics about the creation of content from well-known YouTube creators such as Arnold Poernomo, Devina Hermawan.
