JIS Renovation, Ministry Of PUPR Guyur Rp80 Billion To Build JPO
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) will allocate a budget of around Rp. 80 billion to build a pedestrian bridge (JPO) connecting the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) with Ancol.
"The PUPR Ministry only (worked) the JPO, anyway. So, if the JPO itself is 430 meters, I know I am Rp80 billion," said Spokesperson for the PUPR Ministry Endra S. Atmawidjaja in Jakarta, on Wednesday, August 9.
Endra explained that the budget for the construction of the JPO was indeed the largest compared to the renovation of other stadiums.
"Right, the others (stadium repairs) are only minor improvements, but the biggest (budget) is for the JPO," he said.
Previously, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said that JIS needed to make a number of improvements ahead of the 2023 U-17 World Cup.

The repairs range from pitch stitching to grass sewing to building access to the stadium. The task of renovating is carried out by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through Jakpro and the Ministry of PUPR.
Basuki explained that the DKI Provincial Government is working on areas inside the stadium, such as grass and access inside the stadium. Including, working on road access around Lake Ring so that the toll ramp can be mobilized to get to JIS. Meanwhile, the Ministry of PUPR, he continued, is working on road access outside to the stadium.
In the U-17 World Cup, there were four stadiums appointed. Apart from JIS, the other three stadiums are Si Jalak Harupat (SJH) Bandung, Manahan Solo, and Gelora Bung Tomo (GBT) Surabaya.
