Telkom And The Highways Office Dismantle Semrawut Cables In Cikini

JAKARTA - PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) and the DKI Jakarta Bina Marga Office have followed up on reports of oblique poles and fiber optic cables on Jalan Cikini IV, Central Jakarta, by dismantling them.

After dismantling, it turned out that there were only five cables belonging to Telkom, while the rest of the cables came from other utility operators.

"Of the five cables, the three of which are no longer used. We have dismantled them and unloaded them. The telkom cable is only two, the messy one is actually not our cable," said Central Jakarta Assurance and Maintenance Manager PT Telkom Access Aris Ahdiat on Jalan Cikini IV, Jakarta reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 8.

Based on the review, Telkom technicians found that there were a number of other utility operators hanging or riding fiber optic cables on Telkom's poles. This is what makes the pole load out of capacity so that it becomes tilted.

Aris explained that the cable conditions of other operators who boarded the Telkom pole were illegal acts. However, not all networks of operators have their own poles.

Telkom has also conveyed this condition to the Bina Marga Office so that the chaotic cables are immediately brought under control.

"Actually, the rules are not allowed, but because there are no more poles, all of them are stuck at the Telkom pole," he said.

The process of controlling the chaotic cable was carried out by Telkom technicians using askywalker.

Together with the Bina Marga Service officers, the technicians tidied up the fiber optic cable that had previously been stretched. After dismantling the unused cable, the cable that is still operating is tied up again to make it more organized.
