Ferdy Sambo Cancels Death Penalty, Strong Sentence Ma'ruf Dikorting Becomes 10 Years In Prison

JAKARTA - In addition to canceling Ferdy Sambo's death sentence, the Supreme Court (MA) in the cassation reduced Ma'ruf's sentence from 15 years in prison to 10 years in prison.

"The cassation decision rejects the Public Prosecutor's cassation and the Defendant with a criminal repair is sentenced to 10 years in prison," said Head of Legal and Public Relations of the Supreme Court, Sobandi, to reporters, Tuesday, August 8.

Previously reported, the DKI Jakarta High Court (PT) rejected the appeal filed by Strong Ma'ruf in the alleged murder case against Yosua alias Brigadier J.

Strong Ma'ruf in the appeal decision was still sentenced to 15 years in prison according to the verdict handed down in the first instance court.

Meanwhile, at the first instance trial which took place at the South Jakarta District Court, Strong Ma'ruf, who is the driver and household assistant (ART) Ferdy Sambo, was found guilty of premeditated murder against Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabara alias Brigadier J.
